History of Cherry Hill
Cherry Hill Farmhouse is quaint, but what makes it special is its history. Cherry Hill Farm has been around since before the Revolutionary War. It was set on a plantation and was located at the intersection of a path that lead from Winchester to Alexandria and another trail going towards Little Falls on the Potomac. Cherry Hill passed several hands until it ended up in the hands of a Mr. William Harvey in 1843. Two years later, the farmhouse was erected.
The farm was transferred to two other owners; the last being the Blaisdell family. The Blaisdells were originally from Massachusetts. While living on Cherry Hill Farm, they raised their children and made many advances to the farm. These improvements included a corn crib, a hand-hewn timber barn, and orchards. The Blaisdells also had built a summer house, icehouse, hothouse, and smokehouse, which have since been torn down. When you visit the Cherry Hill Farmhouse today, the house is directed in the same style it would have been with the Blaisdell family.

Weddings at Cherry Hill Farmhouse
If you opt to have your wedding at the Cherry Hill Farmhouse in Falls Church, then you, your bridal party, and wedding guests can enjoy a lovely ceremony, reception, or even an intimate gathering. Both the farmhouse and the surrounding land are beautiful.
You can have your event Mondays through Thursday between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. Cherry Hill Farmhouse is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 am to 11 pm. Sundays are available between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm. Note, that only one event can be held per day at Cherry Hill.
While Cherry Hill Farmhouse may serve as the venue for your wedding, you have to rent tents, catering, tables, and chairs with a third party. You may opt to use the farmhouse for an intimate reception of fifty people or less. If you choose to have an outdoor reception, the patio and grounds are available as well.
